Temporary Closure of Happy Hollow Road/KY 1265 in Hancock County for Concrete Pouring Work
The closure will start at 6:00 a.m. and is expected to end by noon on the same day.
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (February 23, 2024) -- A contractor for the Hawesville local government will temporarily close Happy Hollow Road/KY 1265 in Hancock County on Tuesday, Feb. 27, to pour concrete in front of the new Dukes Fire Department. A concrete pump truck will be stationed at the site, blocking roadway access.
The closure will start at 6:00 a.m. and is expected to end by noon on the same day.
During this time, Happy Hollow Road/KY 1265 will be inaccessible between Squirrel Tail Hollow Road (0.3 milepost) and Coal Bank Hollow Road (1.325 milepost).
No detour will be posted; however, signage will be prominently placed at both ends of KY 1265 and at the intersections of Coal Bank and Squirrel Tail Hollow Roads to alert drivers of the temporary closure.
Motorists in the vicinity are advised to plan their routes accordingly and anticipate delays during the closure period.
