KY 1266 Closed from 8 a.m., to 3 p.m. for ditching work
PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 22, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close KY 1255/Bonds Road during daylight hours starting today and continuing into Friday and Monday.
KY 1255/Bonds Road connects KY 348/Hardmoney Road and KY 450/Oaks Road in southeastern McCracken County. The section nearest KY 450/Oaks floods fairly frequently.
The KYTC McCracken County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to clean out ditches and cross drains along KY 1255/Bonds Road to enhance water flow and drainage.
Due to the placement of equipment and trucks to facilitate the work, KY 1255/Bonds Rd will be closed from approximately 8 a.m., to about 3 p.m., CST, for several days. There will be no through traffic.
There will be no marked detour. Motorists may self-detour via KY 348 and KY 450.
The daytime closures are expected to continue into Friday, and Monday as weather allows.
KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely updates as the work progresses.
A map indicating the location of the closure will be posted shortly at www.Facebook.com/kytcdistrict1.
