Overnight Traffic Impacts on I-275, I-71/75 in Kenton & Campbell Counties Beginning Thursday, Feb. 8
Motorists should expect lane closures, rolling roadblock for pothole patching
COVINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 7, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces traffic impacts in Kenton and Campbell Counties beginning Thursday, Feb. 8. Crews will be addressing pothole repairs in an effort to create a safer roadway for motorists.

Thursday, Feb. 8, beginning at midnight: crews will perform a rolling roadblock on I-275 from the Boone/Kenton County line (mile point 1.58) to the Combs-Hehl Bridge (mile point 73.16), a distance of approximately 13 miles. Crews will begin work on I-275 eastbound, and then switch over to address the westbound lanes. This work will conclude by 5 a.m.

Thursday, Feb. 8, from 8 p.m. to midnight: the right two lanes of I-275 westbound on the Combs-Hehl Bridge between mile points 73.05 and 73.4 will be closed. Crews will be addressing pothole repairs in the middle lane on the bridge. The left lane will remain open.

Friday, Feb. 9, beginning at midnight: crews will perform a rolling roadblock on I-71/75 from the Boone/Kenton County line (mile point 183.34) to the Brent Spence Bridge (mile point 191.62), a distance of 8.28 miles. Crews will begin work on I-71/75 northbound, and then switch over to address the southbound lanes. This work will conclude by 5 a.m.
NOTE: During a rolling roadblock, traffic will be temporarily slowed down and, at times, stopped to allow crews to patch potholes.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, and find an alternate route during the overnight hours.
