KYTC crews to cut back vegetation
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 5, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the closures of a portion of KY 420 beginning tomorrow, February 6, in Franklin County.
KY 420/Old Lawrenceburg Road will be closed from mile marker 2.1 (at the intersection of KY 420 and KY 1263) to mile marker 3.2 (near the Kentucky State Capitol parking garage) beginning Tuesday, February 6, through Thursday, February 8, from 7 p.m. to midnight.
The closures are necessary for KYTC crews to cut back vegetation along the roadway in a process known as rail mowing. Motorists should heed signage, use caution, and seek an alternate route.
The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
