Delays and Reduced Speeds begin this week along KY 160 at Gladys Drive
KNOTT COUNTY (Sept.14, 2023) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of delays and reduced speeds associated with a bridge replacement project in Knott County. The bridge is located at Gladys Drive just off KY 160 at mile point 4.3 (1.0 mile East of Ky 582)
Traffic along KY 160 should expect delays once construction begins. Crews began mobilizing equipment to the site this week. Construction is expected to take approx. 10-12 weeks to complete. Motorists along Gladys Drive will use a single-lane diversion throughout the construction of the new bridge.
Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with some weekend work possible.
Motorists are encouraged to pay close attention to the area's signage and equipment parked during daytime and overnight hours. Due to the proximity to KY 160, traffic could become congested during peak travel times. Motorists should plan for possible delays.
Central Bridge has been contracted to perform the work. Work is subject to change based on weather conditions.
