Crews will be constructing new interchange ramps
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 18, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of lane closures on Interstate 71 North and South at KY 2857 (LaGrange Parkway) between mile marker 21 and mile marker 20, taking place next week.
Crews will be constructing new interchange ramps between KY 53 and KY 393. On Tuesday, August 22, the right lane on I-71 South will be closed. Additionally, beginning Wednesday, August 23, through Friday, August 25, the left lane on I-71 South and the right lane on I-71 North will be closed. All lane closures are set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Motorists should heed restrictions, proceed through the work zone with caution, or seek an alternate route. The expected completion date for the interchange project is the fall of 2024.
