Update - Interstate 75 rehabilitation project in

Scott County

North and southbound between milepoints 125.53 and 134.39

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 26, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. Pavement rehabilitation operations continue. Lane closures and lane shifts are necessary for work to progress. Closures are in effect days, evenings and some weekends. The anticipated completion date for the entire project is October 1, 2023.

The complete project limits are between milepoints 125.53 and 134.39. This section is from Exit 126 (the Georgetown Bypass/US 62) to the bridge over US 125 (between Georgetown and Sadieville).

Interstate 75 - Southbound

Tuesday, June 27 through Wednesday, June 28 7 p.m. Tuesday until Wednesday at 6 a.m.

  • one lane will be closed between milepoints 125.53 and 128.40
  • motorists will be shifted to the outside lanes
  • the shift is necessary for paving the surface on the inside/closest to the barrier wall
  • traffic is currently moving on the inside lanes

Motorists should expect delays and plan accordingly to allow additional time for travel. 

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
