I-71 North Lane Closure to begin Friday, March 31, in Oldham County
Crews to perform work at new interchange
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 29, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a lane closure on Interstate 71 North in Oldham County. The right lane will be closed from 8 p.m., Friday, March 31, to 6 a.m., Sunday, April 9. The work schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions. Contract crews will perform excavation and subgrade preparation for the construction of the new interchange.
The closure will be on I-71 at KY 2857 (LaGrange Parkway), starting at mile point 20.6 between KY 393 and KY 53. Signs in the area will notify drivers of the work, but motorists should heed any restrictions, proceed through the work zone with caution or seek an alternate route. The expected completion date for the interchange project will be the fall of 2024.
