ALERT: I-24 Westbound Closed at Truck Fire Site Near 41mm in Lyon County

PADUCAH, Ky. (FEB. 1, 2023) – The westbound lanes of Interstate 24 are now closed near the 41 mile marker at the site of an early morning SEMI fire.
Early reports indicate the brakes on the truck overheated and caused the truck to catch fire. Due to damage to the trailer, it has to be loaded onto another truck to be removed.
Westbound I-24 is closed with traffic being detoured to Interstate 69 Northbound to take Exit 69 to U.S. 62 East through Eddyville to return to I-24 at Exit 40.
Estimated duration is 2 hours or approximately 11:30 p.m., CST.
