Lane closure planned for bridge repairs on Hal Rogers Parkway in Perry County
JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use the Hal Rogers Parkway in Perry County should prepare for a lane closure and possible delays beginning Monday, Jan. 9, as a bridge repair project is planned.
District 10's Structures crew will be repairing a damaged bridge rail on the 646-foot-long bridge crossing KY 80, the North Fork of the Kentucky River, and the CSX Transportation railroad track between milepoints 57.18 and 57.30. This is between Exit 56 and the traffic signal at Village Lane.
Work will take place from 8 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. each day, and the project is expected to last until Friday, Jan. 13.
While repairs are underway, traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by flaggers. Drivers should reduce speed approaching the work zone and watch for slowed or stopped traffic.
Should delays occur, drivers may bypass the area by using KY 80 and KY 15 to rejoin the Hal Rogers Parkway at either Exit 56 (KY 451) or Exit 59 (KY 15/KY 80).
The bridge has an average traffic count of 7,735 vehicles per day.
