Soil Nail Repairs for KY 805 Fleming Neon in Letcher County
One-lane traffic and delays begin Jan. 2
LETCHER COUNTY (Dec. 27, 2022) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of repairs along KY 805 in Letcher County. Crews will repair the embankment at mile point 2.054 ( 1.3 miles Southwest of KY 317) near the Fleming Neon Sewage Treatment Facility.
Work is expected to take two weeks as crews drill and stabilize the route. The site is currently down to one lane with portable traffic lights. These will remain in place until asphalt plants open back in the spring and crews can resurface the site. Motorists can expect occasional delays and alternating traffic patterns during repairs as roads are narrow and crews need room to work. Work will take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., beginning Monday, Jan. 2.
Motorists are encouraged to pay close attention to the area's signage and equipment parked during daytime and overnight hours.
GSI has been contracted to perform the work.
