Update - Operations continue for US 68 in

Jessamine County

Cleanup work between Brooklyn Bridge and Pekin Pike

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 16, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of continued operations for US 68. The D7 Jessamine County Maintenance crew will be working to clean ditches and remove downed trees.

Monday, Dec. 19 through Thursday, Dec. 229 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day

US 68

  • cleanup operations will be in effect between Brooklyn Bridge (milepoint 0.00) and Pekin Pike/KY 33 (milepoint 1.50)
  • one lane will remain open for motorists
  • the roadway will be closed for intervals of 15 minutes at a time to remove/haul material from the site
  • a pilot (guide) truck and flaggers will be onsite to assist with traffic

Motorists should expect delays and utilize an alternate route if possible.

All work/closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes:  Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
