Project for Russell Cave Road/KY 353 in

Fayette County

Part of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP)

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 25, 2022)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of operations in progress for Russell Cave Road/KY 353. The work is part of the HSIP (Highway Safety Improvement Program). The work includes roadway rehabilitation and asphalt pavement.

Wednesday, Oct. 26 through Monday, Oct. 318:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. weekdays

Note: no weekend work is planned at this time

Russell Cave Road/KY 353

  • alternating lane closures will be in effect from the the I 75 Overpass (milepoint 1.372) extending Northeast to the Fayette-Bourbon County line (milepoint 11.113)
  • motorists can travel through the work zone
  • the project is a distance of 09.74 miles of asphalt pavement and roadway rehabilitation

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes:  Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
