UPDATE: Crash Blocking I-69 at 48mm in Marshall County

Estimated duration is 2 hours

PADUCAH, Ky. (Sept. 24, 2022)  Marshall County Emergency Management reports one northbound lane is now open on Interstate 69 near the 49 mile marker in Marshall County.

This is along I-69 between the U.S. 68 Draffenville Exit 47 Interchange and the I-24/I69 Exit 25 Interchange near Calvert City.

Northbound motorists should use caution as the lane configuration through the crash site may change from time to time to facilitate removal of the truck.

The southbound lanes are closed at this site and expected to remain closed about another two hours.

A SEMI and a passenger vehicle collided.

Estimated duration is 2 hours or approximately 5 p.m., CDT.

While one northbound lane has reopened, southbound traffic remains blocked. 

Southbound motorists may self detour via the U.S. 62 Calvert City Exit 27 Interchange to U.S. 62 East to take U.S. 641 South to return to I-69 southbound at U.S. 68 Draffenville Exit 47 Interchange.
