Update - Operations continue for
Leestown Road/US 421 in Fayette County
Milling and paving between Opportunity Way and Bracktown Road
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 17, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of continued work for Leestown Road/US 421. Crack sealing has been completed. Milling and paving are now scheduled.
Sunday, Sept. 18 through Monday, Sept. 19 – 7 p.m. evenings until 3 p.m. the following afternoons
- milling work will be in effect (a mobile operation)
Monday, Sept, 26, Tuesday, Sept. 27 and Wednesday, Sept. 28 – 7 p.m. evenings until 3 p.m. the following afternoons
- paving work will be in effect (a mobile operation)
Leestown Road/US 421
- operations will be in place between the existing pavement joint 0.09 miles North of Opportunity Way (milepoint 2.101) extending North to the pavement joint 0.085 miles North of Bracktown Road (milepoint 4.020)
- this is a distance of 01.91 section of asphalt
- alternating lane closures will allow motorists to pass through the work zone
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
