Four-Day Closure of KY 139/South Road in Southern Trigg County starting Tuesday, Sept. 20
Closure at 3.9mm immediately south of Johnson Hollow Rd
PADUCAH, Ky. (Sept. 16, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close a section of KY 139/South Road in southern Trigg County for about four days starting on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
KY 139/South Road will be closed near mile point 3.9 to allow repairs to a sinkhole on the right of way that extends under the roadway at a cross drain. Due to the depth of the sinkhole, digging out and filling the sinkhole will require the roadway to remain closed until late in the day on Friday, September 23.
This closure is along KY 139/South Road immediately south of Johnson Hollow Road and 3.9 miles north of the Kentucky-Tennessee State line between Cadiz and Bumpus Mills.
There will be no marked detour. Motorists should be prepared to take an alternate route.
KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely notice should the work be completed earlier than expected.
