“I VOTED” STICKER CONTEST WINNER ANNOUNCED

Alyson Marinich from Hardin County Claims Top Spot

Frankfort, Ky. (August 28, 2025) – Secretary of State Michael Adams announced that student Alyson Marinich of Bluegrass Middle School in Hardin County is the winner of the 2025 “I Voted” Sticker Contest.

“Thanks to Alyson for helping us promote voting and reminding us that any Kentuckian can make a difference,” Adams said.

Alyson’s hand-drawn design featured a horse with a rose garland.

“I’m proud that people in my state voted for what I worked on and that people will get to see it and use it in May,” said Marinich. “I got to go up to the fair and vote for my design, which was really cool. I am just really proud and glad people liked my design.”

“Alyson is one of those quietly humble and tremendously talented kids,” said Richard Rowland, teacher at Bluegrass Middle School. “It kind of warms your heart a little when they get the recognition they deserve, like this.”

“We are proud of Alyson at Bluegrass,” said Bluegrass Middle School Principal Mark Webster. “We emphasize the importance of making an impact and making history in our communities to our Bulldogs. It is clear Alyson has achieved both already.”

Nearly 4,000 Kentuckians voted in the sticker contest at the Kentucky State Fair from August 14-24, doubling the number of votes cast during the inaugural “I Voted” Sticker Contest in 2024.

Hardin County will receive “I Voted” stickers featuring Alyson’s design from the Secretary of State’s Office. Other county clerks may request to have the redesigned sticker to provide to voters during the May 2026 primary election.
