ADAMS TO HOST HUMAN TRAFFICKING FORUM FOR KENTUCKY BUSINESSES
April 9 Event Will Feature Trainings from DHS, LMPD
Frankfort, Ky. (April 1, 2025) – Secretary of State Michael Adams will host the inaugural Kentucky Businesses Against Trafficking Forum in Louisville on Wednesday, April 9.
The free event will feature trainings from the Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign and the Louisville Metro Police Department. The forum will be held at the Louisville Marriott Downtown from 9:30-11:30 AM on Wednesday, April 9.
“With the Kentucky Derby just a month away, thousands of people will descend upon Kentucky – including, unfortunately, human traffickers,” said Adams. “I am proud to partner with federal and local governments to offer critical training for our businesses on how to spot and report trafficking.”
Anyone interested can sign up to attend the forum here.
Kentucky Businesses Against Trafficking is a statewide initiative to raise awareness of human trafficking and provide businesses with the resources needed to identify and report it.
Since the program launched in January, nearly 300 businesses have signed on to join the fight against human trafficking.
Interested businesses can sign up to become members at sos.ky.gov.
