Fairdale Teen Strives for Eagle Scout Award
I am so proud of the many young people doing great things in our community. Chris Portman, who lives in Fairdale and attends Louisville Male High School, led the building of a bridge in Waverly Park for his Eagle Scout project. Chris joined the Boy Scots at age 11. He has a few more steps to finish to become an Eagle Scout, the highest advancement ranks in the Scout organization. We'll look forward to inviting him to visit Metro Council to be reconized for achieving this honor, which only 7 percent of Boy Scouts earn.
