TWO ORIENTATION SESSIONS remain to learn about manufacturing skills training in WEST LOUISVILLE!

Knight School

Earn certification, get college credit and train for a new career in May!

The Kentucky Manufacturing Career Center staff has only two Orientation Sessions left in West Louisville where job seekers can learn about the center's manufacturing training programs, career-readiness testing and job-search assistance.

You must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. You must attend an Orientation Session to qualify and register for the next Certified Production Technician (CPT) class that begins May 19 in West Louisville.

If you're tired of dead-end jobs and want to get the training that will prepare you for jobs in manufacturing that pay between $11/hour and $25/hour, you need to attend one of these remaining sessions:

  • Wednesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. -- NIA Center, 2900 W. Broadway at 29th St.
  • Thursday, May 8, at 10 a.m. -- NIA Center, 2900 W. Broadway at 29th St.

Call now to register for one of these Orientation Sessions -- 502-276-9711, Ext. 4001. Don't miss this important opportunity!!

The CPT course, developed by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council, covers modules in Safety, Quality & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes, and Maintenance Awareness. Graduates earn a nationally recognized certificate and nine college credit hours from Jefferson Community & Technical College (JCTC) to be used in manufacturing programs. Graduates also will have opportunities to be interviewed by representatives of local manufacturing companies for jobs before completing the course.

The Kentucky Manufacturing Career Center will conduct a special class for the CPT course from May 19 through June 16 (no class on May 26, Memorial Day) at the NIA Center, 2900 W. Broadway at 29th St., in West Louisville. The classes will be held each Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a half hour lunch break and each Friday from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

If you already have manufacturing training and are looking for a different manufacturing job, the Kentucky Manufacturing Career Center career specialists also can assist you in finding manufacturing jobs. More than 30 local manufacturers post jobs with the center.

Call 502-276-9711, Ext. 4001, today, and tell the receptionist you want to pre-register for an Orientation Session in West Louisville. Act now, this class will fill quickly!
