Free Financial Planning Day for

Louisville Residents on March 27

 

 

LOUISVILLE, KY (March 24, 2014) – Louisville residents seeking free financial planning advice and guidance are invited to attend Financial Fitness Day on March 27 at the Catholic Enrichment Center, 3146 W. Broadway, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The event will provide opportunities to meet one-on-one with dozens of professional financial planners to discuss personal finance questions, concerns and interests.

 

Bank On Louisville, led by Louisville Metro Community Services and Revitalization, is hosting this event along with the Financial Planners Association of Kentuckiana, ARGI Financial Group, BB&T and more than 15 service providers and community agencies. Residents can receive free advice on topics including budgeting, improving their credit score, retirement planning, income taxes, investment strategies and more. Free food will be provided by Wild Eggs and door prizes will also be available.

WHEN:  Everyone who attends Financial Fitness Day will receive a personalized financial assessment when they arrive, and then have the opportunity to meet with experts who can provide services and share information, resources, and advice on a range of topics, including: daily budgeting, saving, checking account and financial product access, employment, housing, credit reports and repair, unclaimed property searches, planning and saving for college, and legal issues. Information will be provided on a pro-bono basis by experts with no strings attached.

 

In addition to visiting partner resource tables, participants can also attend one or all three seminars on saving and budgeting, banking, and couponing.

WHO: Louisville Metro Community Services and Revitalization and Bank On Louisville organized this event in effort to provide free financial education and programming for residents, particularly individuals who may have limited access to reliable and ethical financial planning information.
