District 11 Town Hall Meeting | 9.24.13 at 6:30

Town Hall Meeting

Please join Councilman Kevin Kramer for the next  District 11 town hall meeting. Councilman Kramer has invited Metro Louisville's Internal Auditor, Ingram Quick, to speak. Councilman Kramer has invited Mr. Quick because he feels it’s important for constituents to learn of the great work and the even greater responsibility that is given to the Office of Internal Audit. Mr. Quick and his staff provide independent, objective reviews of all Metro government departments, offices, boards, activities and agencies. Recommendations for improvements are made to the Mayor, Agency Directors, and the Metro Council.

We will also be joined by representatives from the following agencies: MSD, Public Works, the Louisville Water Company,
L G & E, Planning & Design, Metro Police, Off for Codes & Regulations and the KYTC.

We hope that you can join us!

Please mark your calendar for the next District 11 town hall meeting:

Tuesday , September 24, 2013 - 6:30 PM

Blackacre's Annual Bourbon Tasting is Back!

Dinner invitation for blackacre

Blackacre Conservancy will host its annual Bourbon Tasting & Dinner on Saturday, September 21st at 6pm. Adam Hays, noted Whiskey Brand Champion for Brown-Forman, will be on hand for sampling several flights of premium bourbon. Guests will enjoy a four course, bourbon inspired, meal, guests will also enjoy bidding on several Silent Auction items while serenaded by acoustic bluegrass band, Dozens of Dollars

Funds raised will be used to support Blackacre’s mission to preserve its natural features, promote environmental education and share its cultural heritage, including a historic 1844 farmhouse, with the community. For nearly thirty years, Blackacre Conservancy, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, has worked to preserve and share the combined lands of the Blackacre Nature Preserve and the Conservancy in Louisville, Kentucky. Three hundred acres of rolling fields, wetlands, forests, and streams surround a working historic homestead dating back to the 1790s that lies at the heart of the Preserve.

Blackacre is located at 3200 Tucker Station Road in eastern Jefferson County near the Snyder Freeway. More information can be found on our website www.blackacreconservancy.org.
