Help Your Local Police Help You

Over the past 3 weeks, officers of the 3rd Division have apprehended over 6 burglary suspects in the commission of breaking into homes here in the 3rd Division because of your calls. Our friends and partners at LMPD 3rd Division want you to know your calls to LMPD Dispatch at 574-3759 make a big difference. You can help police apprehend those who commit crimes, and help keep our community safe.

The attached tip sheet from LMPD provides useful information on when and how to report different levels of suspicious or emergency activity. This is a lot of information, but it truly is important when you see something in your neighborhood police need to know about. LMPD wants to remind everyone, if something does not look right to you in your community, you should definitely observe and report it.

Lastly …Safety First. You should follow the steps outlined in the tips sheet from a safe distance, and as quietly as possible.  LMPD does not want members of our community putting themselves in harm’s way for any reason.

Anyone who wishes to be notified of Crime information in their community and be involved with the 3rd Division Block Watch Program should call the 3rd Division at 574-2135. Also, preferably email Sergeant Kelly Lee at Kelly.Lee@Louisvilleky.gov.

REMEMBER, TOMORROW - September 19th - 11:45am-1pm LMPD 7th Division will host a FREE Faith-Based Security Training with author and security expert Ron Aguiar for a brief presentation and Q&A as a service to faith-based groups, staff and leaders. RSVP to Sgt. Todd Brimm, 689-2796, or todd.brimm@louisvilleky.gov.
