The Recycle Bin that has been located behind the new Fairdale Library has now been relocated to the Fairdale Fire House at 10015 Mitchell Hill Rd. Due to the increased traffic volume at the new County Clerk office there was not room for it in the Fairdale Playtorium parking lot.
Thank you for REUSING, REDUCING and RECYCLING!

This month, the iconic Iroquois Amphitheater presents one of the most famous and beloved operettas of all time - Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance". The story follows Will, a duty-bound pirate that breaks free of his comrades after falling in love with a Major-General's daughter. The combination of maurading pirates in a sleepy Victorian port makes for a swashbuckling narrative that has delighted audiences since the show first debuted in 1879.
Beginning August 8, you can share in the experience in the Amphitheater's unique outdoor setting. The show dates are as follows:
- Thursday, August 8
- Friday, August 9
- Saturday, August 10
- Thursday, August 15
- Friday, August 16
- Saturday, August 17
All shows begin at 8:00pm and the doors open at 7:00pm. General admission tickets are $15.00 and are available for pre-purchase online here.
If your budget is tight but you still want to see the show, the performance on Thursday, August 15 will be "Pay What You Can" when a donation that fits your budget is encouraged for admission.
So come out to support the arts in southwest Louisville, help celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Iroquois Amphitheater and, of course, for a terrific night of entertainment.
