Oklahoma Tornado Benefit Concert

Caribou

Friday, June 21st come enjoy some great live music at Iroquois Amphitheater and help raise money to support victims of the Oklahoma tornados. Gates open at 5:30pm and Ode 2 the Gnu takes the stage at 6:30, Caribou at 7:30 and Ambrosia at 8:30. Admission is a $10 donation. Tickets are available by phone or online at http://www.iroquoisamphitheater.com/. There are also a limited number of VIP tickets available for $30, which include up front seating, a meet and greet reception before the show and a souvenir backstage pass.


Great American Campout at JMF

Jefferson Memorial Forest

Quest Outdoors, Americana Community Center and Jefferson Memorial Forest are partnering to take part in the Great American Campout Saturday, June 22nd at 7:00pm to Sunday, June 23rd at 11:00am. Come enjoy a campfire, s’mores, night hikes and other activities. There will be opportunities in the morning to explore the Forest or fish at Tom Wallace with free fishing poles. Additionally, Americana Community Center and Quest Outdoors have partnered to provide the experience and camping gear to identified families who otherwise may not have the opportunity to enjoy a camping weekend. Donations to support this program can be made to Quest Outdoors. Basic campfire fare will be provided to all attendees. Those wishing to bring their own dinners should arrive by 5:30pm. Campers will need to provide their own breakfast, tent, and a sleeping bag or blankets. JMF will have a limited number of tents available for rent. Fee for general public: $25 per family up to 4 people, $5 per additional family member. Preregistration is required. Call 502-368-5404 for reservations.

The food truck craze that is sweeping the city will be represented at the Festival with some delicious offerings from both Genius In A Box & The Traveling Kitchen. Genius In a Box specializes in burgers, pork chops, and polish sausages, while The Traveling Kitchen offers a savory fusion of Korean and Mexican cuisine. In addition, Ron's Hot Dogs, a summer staple, will be on hand with his popular fare as well as Ehrler's Ice Cream to cool you down with some dessert.
