TARC announces Thunder Over Louisville Plan

TARC is once again increasing service into downtown Louisville and setting up five post-event boarding areas for Thunder Over Louisville on Saturday, April 20 to help sightseers have access to the show. This plan is virtually the same as in recent years. About 10,000 passengers are expected to take TARC downtown for the annual fireworks event on the river. Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and know their route number and stop locations for arriving and departing trips. For easy trip planning using Google Maps, visit www.ridetarc.org.

Regular, one-way TARC fares are $1.75 for adults and $.80 for riders over the ages of 65, riders with disabilities and children ages 6-17. TARC will be providing normal service throughout the day, but starting at around 7 p.m. as crowds gather downtown, police may be forced to control traffic which may result in altered TARC routes.
