This past weekend’s Fairdale Fair was a huge success! The
severe weather held off just long enough Friday evening and Saturday gave us
absolutely perfect fair weather. It was great to be able to talk with so many
constituents throughout the weekend. Our District 13 Health Expo on Saturday
was very well attended and fairgoers were able to receive flu shots as well as
free health screenings and information. Many thanks to this year’s health
vendors for their participation and for offering these vital services to our
community in such a convenient setting!

The Derby City Eagles Club will be hosting a yard sale on
September 15th from 8am-4pm. Come by 201 Outer Loop under the pavilion to
search for treasures!

Star Rest Neighborhood Association will host a Block Sale on
September 15th from 8am-2pm. Breakfast and lunch items available. Proceeds to
pay for street lights.

Minors Lane Elementary PTA 1st Annual
Yard Sale/Craft Fair: September 15th 9am-3pm, 8501 Minors Lane. Yard
sale items, craft vendors and food/refreshments.

September 22nd 8am-1pm at 9000 Brown Austin Rd. off New Cut Rd.
 Farnsley-Moremen Landing is hosting an 1860s-style baseball
game between the Cincinnati Red Stockings and the Cincinnati Buckeyes at “100
Years on the Ohio” on Saturday, September 15th at 1:00pm! Come back
on Sunday, September 16th for all of the activities and to celebrate
the 175th birthday of the Farnsley-Moremen House at 2:00 PM with birthday cake

I will be hosting my next “Coffee With Your Councilwoman” next
Tuesday, September 18th at 9:30am at Shoney’s Fern Valley, located at 6511
Signature Drive. This is an opportunity to ask questions about Louisville Metro
Government, raise concerns about your neighborhood, or just stop by to say
hello. Get updates on many new programs in South and Southwest Louisville. For

The Fairdale Library’s International Month program on
Scottish Bag Piping is coming up on September 18th at 7:00pm. Come out and celebrate Scotland with a thrilling
bagpipe performance! All ages are welcome. Call 502-375-2051 for more

Centerplate will be having a Job Fair at the KFC Yum! Center
on Tuesday, September 25th from 4-8pm. Centerplate
will be hiring for Catering, Culinary, Cashiers, Bartenders, etc. This will include Servers, Dishwashers, and
Kitchen Staff. All positions are
part-time and hourly based. All
applicants will need to bring hiring documents with them (State issued ID and
Social Security Card).
