Samaritan’s Feet is excited to partner with Republic Airways and the Office for Aging and Disabled Citizens to provide free footwear to older adults in the Louisville community. On December 10th, 9 - 11 AM, registered participants are invited to 701 W. Ormsby Ave, to receive a Hope Tote filled with new anti-slip shoes, socks, a shoehorn, fall prevention resources, and a message of hope to help them stay safe, active, and confident. They are proud to support the health and well-being of seniors throughout Louisville by providing footwear designed with their needs in mind. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Click HERE to Register Five Public Meetings for Land Development Code Update
The Louisville Metro Office of Planning is inviting residents to participate in five open houses this November to share feedback on potential updates to the Land Development Code (LDC), which helps determine how land can be used and developed throughout Louisville. The LDC guides where homes and businesses can be built and how properties can be developed. The update will look for ways to make rules clearer, easier to understand and better aligned with the city’s long-term goals for development as outlined in the city-wide, comprehensive plan, Plan 2040. The November open houses will give residents an opportunity to learn about the update process, ask questions and share their feedback on the city’s development rules. The meetings will be informal, allowing community members to stop by any of the five sessions at their convenience.
These meetings are the first of three rounds of public engagement for the LDC update, giving residents multiple opportunities to participate. To learn more about the project or submit a comment online, people can visit the project website. Questions about the update should be directed to Rachel Casey, Planning Supervisor, at rachel.casey@louisvilleky.gov or (502) 574-8272. To request language or disability services at a meeting, people should call (502) 574-8272 or email rachel.casey@louisvilleky.gov at least three days prior to the meeting they are attending. Paranormal Cirque - Jefferson Mall
Louisville, like to clear something up before the arrival at Jefferson Mall, November 13th - 16th. Apparently, there have been some rumors going around about the performers. That they only come out at midnight, they spend all their time haunting people, and that there’s no way they could be this terrifying and this talented. And that they’re alive. Honestly, where do people get this stuff? The… let’s call them unconventional performers are perfectly capable of delivering breathtaking acrobatics, twisted comedy, and enough scares to keep you and your bravest friends on the edge of your seats. And they can do it before midnight, thank you very much. So grab your tickets, bring your bravest friends, and come see what these supposedly “not-so-talented” performers can really do.
