2026 FridayFest at Highview Park Schedule
The FridayFest concert series will return for its fourteenth year this summer at Highview Park. This is a series of six concerts offering a variety of music on Fridays, as well as various food vendors and children’s activities. All shows are free and run from 6pm-10pm at Highview Park, 7201 Outer Loop. Make plans now to attend this year’s shows. Prescription Drug Takeback at the Zoo - April 19th
Bring your unused or expired medications to the Louisville Zoo bus lot for the Zoo's Prescription Drug Take Back event Sunday, April 19th, from 10 - 2 PM. LMPD officers will collect and safely dispose of them to protect the community and waterways. LMPD will accept any items related to prescription drugs or narcotics. Mulch Mondays are a free service offered by Louisville Parks and Recreation's Urban Forestry division, providing natural, dye‑free mulch for residential, non‑commercial use. Public Meetings Announced to Showcase Draft Freight Network
Louisville Metro’s Department of Transportation will host three opportunities for members of the public to review a draft network of preferred freight routes across Jefferson County as part of the Freight Mobility Action Plan. These open house-style meetings will allow residents and freight operators to share feedback on the draft network and receive updates on the plan. Public meeting opportunities include:
The Freight Mobility Action Plan is being developed in partnership with HDR Engineering, Inc., to better understand the interactions of freight and neighborhoods and provide action steps to facilitate a preferred freight network across the county. Your input will help shape safer, more efficient truck routes and mitigate disruptions to residential neighborhoods across Louisville Metro. ELEFA's Second Quarterly Community Meeting - April 16th
Independent Monitor, Effective Law Enforcement for All (ELEFA) will share an update on their work under Louisville’s Community Commitment — including who they are, how the monitoring process works, and what they have been doing since their first community meeting in February.
