The 2026 reassessment covers MLS Areas 8 & 9, including areas in and around Prospect, Norton Commons, Glenview, Graymoor-Devondale, Anchorage, Lyndon, Hurstbourne, Douglass Hills, Middletown, Lake Forest and Polo Fields. If you believe the assessed value is not correct, The Jefferson County PVA wants you to know: You have a right to appeal.

Team Kentucky is launching the second Safe Teen Driving Challenge — a program designed to encourage safer driving habits while giving young drivers the chance to earn cash prizes.
The need is real. In just the past three years, Kentucky has experienced more than 49,000 crashes involving teen drivers, leading to over 13,000 injuries and nearly 200 lives lost. Programs like this aim to change that by helping teens build better habits behind the wheel early on.
Open to drivers ages 15 to 19 with a valid permit or license, the challenge uses the DriveWell Go app to track driving behaviors such as speed, braking, and phone use. Teens can monitor their progress, see how they rank, and learn how small changes can make a big difference in staying safe on the road.
Participants will also have the opportunity to win one of five cash prizes totaling $10,000, with the top prize set at $3,000.
Registration is open through April 16, with driving performance tracked from April 17 through July 17. Winners will be announced in August, and their schools will also be recognized.
Beyond the prizes, the real goal is building awareness and encouraging responsible driving habits that last a lifetime — helping protect not only young drivers, but everyone who shares the road.

Have a question about zoning in your neighborhood? Wondering how developments get approved? Louisville Metro’s Office of Planning is hosting open Q&A sessions at library branches on select Tuesday afternoons. These sessions are free and open to the public – no RSVP required. Planning impacts how our neighborhoods grow, what the future of Louisville looks like, and where we live. The goal of these conversations is simple: to make the planning process clearer and easier to understand.
Louisville, KY (March 31, 2026) – Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg and the Louisville Zoo are excited to announce the return of the stunning Wild Lights lantern spectacular. After a one‑year hiatus, this popular event returns to illuminate evenings at the Zoo from May 15 through July 26, 2026. Tickets went on sale today at louisvillezoo.org/wildlights.
"We’re excited to welcome Wild Lights back to the Louisville Zoo,” said Mayor Greenberg. “This spectacular event has become a favorite for families and visitors, and it’s something people of all ages can enjoy together. We can’t wait for guests to see the Zoo transformed once again with incredible light displays and artistry.”
Wild Lights guests will venture through the Zoo’s 1.4-mile path and experience hand-crafted, illuminated art displays. The event will feature more than 50 lantern displays arranged in themed areas, depicting everything from dragons to butterflies. Highlights include a stunning illuminated walkway with a gigantic chameleon at the Zoo’s entrance, a 20‑foot, three‑headed dragon, a magical 15‑foot unicorn, and incredible glowing displays of prehistoric and underwater scenes. Interactive lanterns invite guests to enhance the experience by powering movements with step‑activated pads, along with plenty of selfie‑worthy photo opportunities throughout the festival.
Chinese lantern-making is more than mere decoration; it is a vibrant art form that embodies Chinese philosophy, symbolism, and communal celebration. This delicate and intricate artform is more than 1,000 years old and the artisans from Zigong, China who accompany Wild Lights are living bearers of this tradition. In addition to viewing the lantern displays, guests are invited to visit the artisans. There is also a marketplace tent, where unique handcrafted goods will be available for purchase. This 41-night immersive event features live cultural performances, including lightning-fast mask changing, acrobatics and more.
The Zoo’s food and amenity vendor, SSA Group, will serve themed snacks and cocktails at several locations throughout the Zoo, and the Zoo Gift Shop will remain open with special Wild Lights merchandise available for guests to commemorate their visit.
The event is wheelchair and stroller-friendly on a paved path. The festival will take place rain or shine and is held from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Thursdays through Sundays. The last ticket sold will be at 9:30 p.m., and the route will be open until 11:30 p.m.
Wild Lights is in partnership with Stewart Promotions and Tianyu Arts & Culture Inc., an international event design company.

New items or changes in project status are shown in bold
Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may arise, and as such, the information provided below is for advisory purposes only and subject to change without prior notice.
Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, striping, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates during non-peak daytime hours and at night. Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance on interstates and highways daily throughout the district.
**Following the recent snow and ice event, our crews are out across the district repairing potholes and addressing winter-related roadway wear. This is part of our routine maintenance efforts to keep state routes safe and drivable. As crews move from location to location, drivers may encounter short-term lane closures or rolling operations on interstates and state highways. These repairs often happen quickly and as conditions are identified. Please stay alert, reduce speed in work zones, and give our highway crews the space they need to complete pothole patching safely.**
