Dear Neighbor,
Last week my colleagues and I completed the first meetings of the Metro Council for 2026. Our Organizational Meeting week involved having the political caucuses meet, the first meeting of the whole Council, and an array of committee leadership assignments as well as members' committee assignments for the coming year.
I was honored by my colleagues to serve another term as the Metro Council President. I've made getting the work of the council for you - the public and residents of Louisville Metro - my goal in my time at Council President.
That said, my top priority has always been - and continues to be - serving as your 26th District Councilman. We continue to provide responsive constituent services, hear and respond to your concerns and suggestions, and work to make our District a safer and better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Enjoy the weekend,
Brent T. Ackerson 26th District Councilman

Our office routinely publishes information on upcoming public meetings and regarding planning and zoning cases in and around District 26. Our posting in this forum is not an official notice. This list may not be comprehensive nor does it include other zoning matters decided upon by zoning authorities other than Louisville Metro Government.
While we intended to expand the scope of our zoning notices, our office reverted to the former policy of relaying the information we receive from Planning and Zoning. We are limited by ordinance and state law to provide the publicly available information.
