OACI Operational Support Grant Applications Open Early 2026

The FY27 cycle for the Office of Arts + Creative Industries’ External Agency Fund Grants will open on January 12, 2026. Program Materials are not yet available, but the application will have a format consistent with last year’s opportunity, offered once again through the Euna Grants platform. Awards will be offered in tiers of either $25,000 or $50,000 of total funding, which can be used for operating costs as well as program expenses. This program is an excellent opportunity to seek funding for expenses such as performance space rent, salary support, and other baseline expenses necessary to keep arts & cultural organizations open and running.

Grantee Spotlight

We have already seen the FY26 funding cycle support new opportunities for Louisville residents to experience and produce artistic and cultural experiences. A portion of FY26 Grant funds went to support the production of Cymbeline, produced by KY Shakespeare. In addition to being a more uncommon Shakespeare play which rarely sees live performance, Cymbeline also helped bring Louisvillians together. One audience member wrote in a review that “the beauty of theater isn’t just in the performance, but in the shared experience. It’s a bridge between generations, a mirror to our own humanity, and a powerful teacher of empathy, courage, and resilience,” and audience surveys reported that 88% of attendees felt more connected to their community and neighbors.

Seeking Review Panelists

To help find our next set of FY27 grantees, we are also in need of grant panelists! If you are an arts & culture or grantmaking professional who is interested in supporting this program, please fill out the survey here.

Request For Proposals - Main Street Underpass Mural
Louisville Downtown Partnership

Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP) is seeking a mural artist or artist team to design and install a large-scale mural on the south wall of the Main Street underpass in Downtown Louisville. The wall spans roughly 260 feet wide, with heights of 23 feet on the east side and 12 feet on the west side. The creative theme, "Bridging Louisville," envisions weaving together the stories of Downtown’s past and present with those of adjacent neighborhoods—creating a visual bridge that celebrates our shared identity and history.

The underpass sits between Hancock and Jackson streets on E. Main Street. The wall is dimensional, with various sections of concrete blocks. The viewer will likely experience the mural up close as they walk on either side of the street.
