District 1 Upcoming Events!

Pumpkins in the park

Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins (D-1) invites the community to celebrate the fall season at Pumpkins in the Park on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Parkland Park, located at 2757 Dumesnil Street.

The free, family-friendly event will include pumpkins, food, local vendors, photobooth, giveaways, face painting, and fun activities for all ages. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, as pumpkins and giveaways will be available while supplies last.

“This is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Councilwoman Hawkins. “It’s a chance for families and neighbors to come together, enjoy the season, and make lasting memories. Please mark your calendars and join me!”

The event is open to the public, and all residents are encouraged to attend. Attendees are welcome to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the afternoon in the park.
