Clark Station improvements coming to the Shelby County portion - Clark Station will be closed in Shelby County starting October 6th until the end of first week of November weather permitting. This project is to widen this portion of the road to 20 feet and mill and repave from Taylorsville Road the Jefferson County line.
2415 Clark Station Rd - Road Closure - LG&E plans to close Clark Station Rd to perform a road cut to tie into an existing gas main. Work will take place 10/10/25-10/31/25 weather permitting, 7am-5pm. Road closure to exceed no more than 15 minutes at a time to accommodate traffic and allow emergency vehicles and buses to pass through, and at stages of the work, light vehicle traffic should be able to be flagged around the work area. The road will be plated to allow traffic to cross during work hours and after hours. A detour has been provided in the case it becomes necessary during work, though the current plan is for the work to not require one.
New Date to be Announced Soon
Clark Station Rd - 7 electrical pole replacement- The contractor was issued a stop work order today as the crew on site was closing the road at various times due to the size of the trucks and there not being enough room for vehicles to pass. They were advised that created a dangerous situation where emergency vehicles would not have access and property owners were caught off guard. There was no advance notice given which is a requirement if a road is closed. They must provide a 10 day notice if they intend to close the entire road. Signage is also required. The crews have been directed to follow the permit and the traffic plan agreed to. If they feel a road must be closed, they must apply for a new permit, with a notification plan and MUTCD compliant traffic plan for review.
