 Join Us for the "Meet Your Store" Kroger Community Event!
Our small Kroger on South 3rd Street has served the area for forty years and will be missed by many in our community as it prepares to close. Thankfully, Kroger Corporate Management is working with us to help ease the transition for loyal customers who have known and felt comfortable in that store for years. Change comes whether we like it or not, but compassion helps make it smoother for everyone. While I remain committed to exploring other solutions for grocery access in our area, we cannot intervene in business decisions.
In the meantime, I am working with Kroger to provide some resources for people who face transportation or mobility challenges as they adjust to the new location. Join the event to find out more.
To support this transition, I also asked TARC to provide a shuttle to take people from the 3rd Street Kroger to the new Kroger location at 2nd Street and Central Avenue. This is for Kroger’s transition event on July 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm. The event will help you get familiar with the new store and will provide useful information and resources. Please share this message with your neighbors who also relied on this Kroger. Everyone is welcome to attend.
If you need a ride, please be at the 3rd Street Kroger by 12:15 pm on Thursday, July 17, to catch the shuttle. Be on time. I look forward to seeing you there.
