CASA of the River Region seeks to improve the lives of those in our community, particularly children who have experienced abuse and neglect. They are seeking more citizens to step up and volunteer as advocates for these children. (CASA provides all the training needed. Volunteers must be 21+, able to pass background checks, and willing to complete the pre-service training course.)
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the River Region has been serving abused and neglected children in Jefferson County for over 40 years, providing them with a highly trained volunteer advocate to be a consistent factor, a caring friend, and a voice to speak up for them during the difficult time when they are involved in family court, due to no fault of their own.
CASA will be hosting open office hours on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of each month at our main office, located at 982 Eastern Parkway (on the Kosair for Kids Campus). Nearly 200 children in our community are waiting for someone to look out for their best interests. Drop in during these times to learn more about how YOU can change a child’s story for the better as a CASA. For questions, contact KC at kaylac@casariverregion.org or call (502)400-8042.
