Dear Council Members,
We are calling on you to uplift and share an urgent message with your constituents regarding the People’s Consent Decree and Resolution and questions surrounding the Consent Decree process. This effort represents the voice and will of our communities across every district in Louisville, demanding deeper accountability, transparency, and lasting justice. Your support in amplifying this initiative through your district newsletters can make a significant impact.
Why It Matters to Every District
These questions are an attempt to gauge not only the opinion of your constituents but also an attempt to raise more awareness about the process that led to the Louisville Consent Decree Community Commitment.
People’s Consent Decree is a community-driven effort to ensure that systemic change reaches every corner of our city. From West Louisville to the East End, residents have expressed the need for structural reform in public safety, law enforcement accountability, and transparency in government operations. The resolution before you is not just symbolic—it is a real step toward rebuilding trust and empowering the people who put you in office.
The Vote is Vital
Each council member’s voice and vote matters. Passing this resolution sends a powerful message to our communities that their lived experiences and calls for justice are not only heard, but acted upon. This campaign is about more than policy—it’s about people, neighborhoods, and the future of Louisville. Every district is affected. Every voice must count.
