Note from Josie

Hi neighbors,

I've got two invitations for you: first, to share your thoughts on the city budget and second, to join me and the District 10 team at our Camp Taylor Community Nights kicking off tonight (Thursday, May 29 - my 40th birthday!).

The Metro Council has been reviewing the Mayor's proposed budget and hearing from departments over the last several weeks. I've been watching on MetroTV and learning more about all that our city funds and offers in its billion-dollar budget. We will make changes over the next few weeks and vote on a final version on June 26. Please feel welcome to send me an email at josie.raymond@louisvilleky.gov or fill out this budget form by June 9 to let me know what is and is not important to you.

Next, I want to make sure you saw that because the Camp Taylor pool is not opening this summer (I'm still heartbroken) we were able to put the security funds towards free, family-friendly Camp Taylor Community Nights in Camp Taylor Memorial Park.

At the first one tonight, we'll have inflatables, free popcorn and cotton candy, and a soccer clinic with the LouCity & Racing Foundation. Throughout the summer we'll have a petting zoo, video game truck, free ice cream, Nerf battle, partnerships with District 10 gems the Louisville Zoo, 4-H, Cyril Allgeier Community Center AND MORE. Hope you can join us for one or all five.
