New Patient Portal provides 24-hour access to health records
This week, the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness (LMPHW) launched its patient portal system.
Now anyone who uses services at our clinics and signs up for the patient portal will have 24/7 access to
- Communicate securely with a provider
- View and manage appointments
- View health information and records
- Complete paperwork before appointments
- Pay a bill.
When clients access our services, they will be asked to provide an email address. We will then send them an invitation to enroll and create an account in the portal.
“The launch of our new electronic health records and patient portal system marks a significant step forward in how we serve our community,” said Connie Mendel, director of the Department of Public Health and Wellness and Chief Health Strategist. “This technology not only enhances the security and coordination of care, but also empowers our clients with easier access to their own information.”

Protect yourself from the dangers of the sun
Each year, the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention (NCSCP) works to promote “Don’t Fry Day” on the Friday before Memorial Day..
Don’t Fry Day encourages everyone to protect their skin as they head outdoors and raises awareness about sun safety and skin cancer prevention leading into the summer. Sunburns not only increase your risk of skin cancer, but they can also make you more susceptible to heat-related illness and dehydration.
It’s an important reminder to revisit tips to stay safe in the sun and heat. Wherever your outdoor summer adventures take you, make sure to be safe, and protect yourself and your loved ones from skin cancer and heat-related illness. Find more tips on skin cancer prevention at the American Academy of Dermatology Association’s website.
