At 90 years young, Miss Clara is dedicated to serving others
 Community Health Services Clerk Clara Wilder, who is "nine decades" young, has dedicated more than 40 years to the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness.
Affectionately known as "Miss Clara," she works at our Dixie Health Center's WIC (Women, Infants, Children) clinic where employees and families continue to benefit from her expertise. She also enjoys her daily commute to work.

Join a group to bike to work on National Bike to Work Day, May 16
 Friday, May 16, 2025, is National Bike to Work Day. Join members of Bike Louisville who will host group rides from five "Meet & Ride" locations. Each group will be led by experienced volunteer ride captains. The rides will depart at 7:30 a.m. and will end downtown at The Plaza on Fourth (222 S. 4th St.) for coffee, donuts and prizes. Groups will meet back at the plaza at 5:30 p.m. for return rides.
Help celebrate healthy and sustainable active transportation by taking part in the city-wide ride.

Virtual event highlights 'embracing abundance'
 Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness will host a free, virtual event, “Mindful Living Part II: Embracing Abundance” at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21. The event will be presented by business owner and client-centered therapist Iesha Richards. Certificates of participation will be given to those who attend.
During the event, Richards will provide evidenced-based holistic mental health education to individuals, families, professional teams, and communities. Richards is a licensed professional clinical counselor, certified master addictions counselor, certified employee assistance program professional and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist.
