Councilman Reno-Weber encourages community to attend public meetings for proposed racquet/paddle sports complex

Public meetings will be held on Tuesday, May 6 and Saturday, May 10

Louisville (May 2, 2025) – Councilman Ben Reno-Weber (D-8) encourages the community to attend two public meetings hosted by the non-profit Kentucky Tennis and Pickleball Center to discuss the proposed tennis and pickleball complex in Joe Creason Park.

The meetings have been scheduled for residents to learn more information and provide feedback to the non-profit Kentucky Tennis & Pickleball Center on their draft proposal.

  • Tuesday, May 6, at 6:00 PM at Cyril Allgeier Community Center, 4101 Cadillac Court (40213)
  • Saturday, May 10 at 8:30 AM at St. Xavier High School, 1609 Poplar Level Road (40217)

These will be the first of many opportunities for the community to give input on the proposed development. Metro representatives from Parks & Recreation, Planning, and other agencies will be in attendance to listen to the discussion.

“This proposal has been offered by the non-profit Kentucky Tennis and Pickleball Center and is the first step in a multi-month process involving several additional opportunities for public input,” said Councilman Reno-Weber. “This is not a done deal; we are at the very beginning of the public process. After these two public meetings, Kentucky Tennis and Pickleball will submit plans to the Planning Commission for official review, and additional public meetings will be scheduled. I encourage all interested residents to subscribe to the District 8 eNewsletter, and follow us on social media @CouncilmanBenRenoWeber and @lou.metro.district8 for the most up-to-date information.”
