Louisville Water’s massive project to install two 24-inch diameter pipes along River Road is moving along. In a little more than five weeks, our crews have installed nearly 20% of the pipes for this project – that’s more than 400 pieces of pipe. We’re moving east on River Road toward Blankenbaker Lane. We’re aiming to finish the pipe installation in the current work zone area by the end of May. Then we will move into Zone 2, which stretches from Blankenbaker Lane to Lime Kiln Lane.
Overall, the project will continue through the year and into 2026. Our goal is to finish most of the work on River Road by next summer.
