The District 3 Team is so excited for this spring. As the weather (hopefully) steadies into warmer and sunnier days, we are ready for all the great spring and summer events to come! The trees and flowers are coming back to life (with their Ohio valley pollen, that makes us all sneezy), and there is so much hope and opportunity in this season. This is a break week for JCPS and Louisville Metro Council. Although no legislation will be passed this week, the District 3 Office will still be working! We'll also be back to our regularly scheduled Friday newsletters next week!
To round out Women's History Month in March, Councilwoman Parrish-Wright attended From Roots to Wings hosted by The Route, a nonprofit in District 3, to celebrate and honor the resilience of Haitian women. She is pictured above at this wonderful event. Special thanks to Christella Phillipe for sharing this event.
Below, we have shared several events District 3 will be hosting or taking part in. First is our District 3 Advisory Board meeting, where TARC will join us for a special discussion. We'll then have our community education session with the Louisville Metro Housing Authority, followed by our much anticipated GG Moore Park Pop-Up event with the Parks Alliance of Louisville. We'll also be having a townhall with the Commonwealth's Attorney, and Shakespeare in the Park later in the month! Please share widely, attend, and bring a friend or neighbor when you can!
