Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins is honoring Mr. Orenzio U. Tobin III this year.
Mr. Tobin was born September 19, 1970 in Louisville Kentucky. He graduated from the one and only Butler High School. He earned a football scholarship to Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. He returned home to Louisville for gainful employment and to raise his child.
Orenzio retired from Metro Solid Waste Management after serving 30 years. He is currently the Assistant Temple Director to the Parkland Masonic Temple located at 28th and Dumesnil Streets. He has been a resident of West Louisville all his life from Old Walnut Street to the Chickasaw Area. Orenzio, affectionately known as Ren, spends countless hours beautifying the Parkland Masonic Temple including building maintenance and upkeep of the grounds. He has completely remodeled Farris Hall with brand new floors, remodeled bathrooms and electrical updates.
Orenzio is a Prince Hall Mason having been a member of Mount Moriah Lodge No. 1 since 2019. He was given the honor of Master Mason of the Year in 2022. He is a member of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine Damascus Temple No. 58, Cyrus No. 4, and Magician Bowling League. Through these organizations, Orenzio has participated Youth Harvest Day with Metro Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Central District Christmas Party as Santa Claus, he also does selfless home repairs for the Widows of Masons. I attend Greater St. Mark Baptist Church were Rev. William G. Nelson is my pastor.
In May of this year, he and his lovely bride Elizabeth Tobin will celebrate 29 years of Marriage. He is father to 7 children and 23 grandchildren. Four of his grandchildren call him Paw Paw Uber.

 The work will take place between Feb 17th through March 17th 2025.
This job will be placing new fiber optic cables throughout the outlined neighborhood shown on the map that will enhance service to the area by increasing internet speed. the cable will be placed both in the air and in the ground. No streets, sidewalks or driveways will be cut / excavated.
For the work on S 32nd St, AT&T will be accessing a handhole for splice work.
For the work on Kirby Ave AT&T will be placing a new Cabinet which will require a bit of digging, however no sidewalks, streets or driveways will be cut.
Traffic will be affected and RTS Associates, LLC has designed traffic control plans and submitted them to Louisville Metro.
The Traffic Control plans are based entirely upon the guidelines of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
Additionally, flaggers will be utilized where the aerial cable is being placed & signage will be placed warning oncoming traffic of the buried that is taking placed.
