“Transparency increases credibility and accountability.” Park Won-soon
This issue highlights some of the ways Louisville Metro is transparent in its reporting of ARP funded projects.

Data Dashboards
These have helped LMG with their visual analysis of ARP funds and allowed for the continuation of open data and transparency of spending for the citizens of Jefferson County. LMG prides itself on being open with the public, letting them know what federal and local funds are being spent on, and reporting on the statuses of those funds. To maintain its transparency, LMG publishes their reports, along with their data dashboards, ARP Data Dashboards, on its American Rescue Plan website, Louisville Metro Government American Rescue Plan.

"Honesty and transparency make you vulnerable. Be honest and transparent anyway." Mother Teresa
Early Learning Leanne French, Director of Early Childhood and the Agency Project Manager of the ARP Early Learning project, said "The data dashboard shows the impact of investments by Metro Council district, enabling Council members to share the information with their constituents. She said that the grantees that are part of the ARP Early Learning grant have used the data dashboard for their Early Learning projects, helping them leverage additional support and funding for their work. Leanne added, information from the Early Learning dashboard helps to identify parts of the county where early childhood investments are still needed, therefore helping the City set goals for further advancement of the Mayor's commitment to affordable quality early learning for all 3- and 4- year-olds in Louisville."

Connected Parks and Broadband
As former city government leader Theresa Reno-Weber once said, 'You can’t fix what you can’t measure.' That insight rings true for our Broadband and Connected Parks projects, where dashboards play a crucial role in both tracking progress and celebrating milestones, said Chris Seidt, Executive Director of Metro Technology Services.
For example, installing Wi-Fi in over 100 parks across the community requires clear, real-time updates to keep stakeholders and residents informed. Similarly, our Broadband project is bringing high-speed internet to over 1,000 homes that previously lacked access. While residents are eager to subscribe, constructing fiber infrastructure takes time. Our dashboards help us communicate progress, manage expectations, and ensure everyone knows when service will be available in their area.
Oreoluwa Adebayo, Louisville Accelerator Team's Senior Data Analyst and creator of the ARP dashboards, said, "We are excited to announce that in the next few months, dashboards detailing data from the Youth Transitional Services Juvenile Assessment Center and Community Violence Intervention projects will be published on the ARP webpage. These additions aim for community awareness and transparency of ARP projects by providing valuable insights into the ongoing efforts to promote public safety within our neighborhoods. Stay tuned for these comprehensive visual boards and data sets that will offer a closer look at some of ARP's impactful programs."
