Community Members and Mountain Bike Enthusiasts Attend Highland Park Bike Park Open House
Event planned for February, 11th 2025
Louisville Metro Government invites the public to attend an open house to review preliminary design plans for Highland Park Bike Park, a mountain bike skills park proposed for Old Park Blvd, under the I-264 overpass.
Nationally recognized action sports design consultants Pillar Design Studios and Pumptrax USA will be at Beechmont Community Center, 205 W Wellington Ave, Tuesday, February 11th 6-7pm to review their design progress made so far and solicit input from the community. They along with Louisville Metro Government will be presenting their first round of plans for the proposed skills park. The open house will follow Mayor Greenberg’s 10am on-site press conference to announce the project.
The open house will provide the community with the opportunity to review project details, provide feedback, and learn more about how the park aims to enhance recreational opportunities for mountain biking enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. The Highland Park Bike Park will feature a range of technical skills areas, jumps, and obstacles, designed to foster skill development and provide a safe, welcoming space for riders. Initial park designs incorporate feedback from local stakeholders and the Kentucky Mountain Bike Association (KyMBA) and is aimed at creating a world-class facility that will attract riders from across the region.
