Greeting from your new Councilman

Residents of District 12,

It is with great joy and a heart full of gratitude that I write this first newsletter.

My love for District 12 starts as a young kid playing little league football at PRP, and it has grown every day since. As your new Councilman, my top priority will be ensuring that the services, opportunities, and resources present in other parts of our city are also found right here in the South End. That effort cannot take place solely in our office downtown – it falls on each of our residents to work together, build relationships with our neighbors, and advocate for the improvements that we need. Whether I have known you my entire life, gotten to know you as I have taken office, or we have yet to meet, I look forward to growing our friendship and fighting for you in City Hall day in and day out.

This year, I have the pleasure of serving as a member of the Public Safety, Appropriations, and Governmental Audit/Oversight and Appointments Committees. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call our office at (502)574-1112 or email me at Jonathan.Joseph@louisvilleky.gov or contact my Legislative Assistant, Bryson Sebastian, at Bryson.Sebastian@louisvilleky.gov.

Your new District 12 Councilman,

Jonathan "JJ" Joseph

Greetings from your new LA

Residents of District 12,

My name is Bryson Sebastian, and I will be your new Legislative Assistant in the District 12 Metro Council Office. For those that aren't familiar with the duties of the Legislative Assistant -- I serve as the Councilman's first point of contact. When you call our office, I am typically the person that answers the phone, and when you have an issue, it is my responsibility to help you resolve it. I work in tandem with Councilman Joseph to learn what your priorities for District 12 are, and I help him accomplish them.

I grew up in Valley Station, graduated from Butler, and got my college degree from the University of Louisville, where I studied Political Science as a member of the McConnell Scholars Program. I have spent my entire life in the South End of Louisville, so when you call with an issue, I will know exactly what neighborhood you're in, street you're on, which church you attend, etc. I am proud and excited to get to serve the people of the South End, and I look forward to building relationships with all of you!
