| Dear Neighbor,
Mayor Greenberg announced today that Public Works will deploy our Snow Teams again to tackle remaining side streets and less traveled roadways. They will start by salting the untreated roadways outside of the 110 existing snow routes. I am grateful that the Mayor and our Public Works team are addressing this public safety concern in our neighborhoods.
Also, the Louisville Water Company is continuing their work on Yorkshire Boulevard, repairing the water lines beneath the street. Maps of the estimated detours are below. They are subject to change and alteration.
They estimate the new end date to be 2/1/2025
Please use caution as you travel.
Enjoy the rest of the week,
Brent T. Ackerson 26th District Councilman
Snow Teams will be moving through the side streets that are not part of the 110 snow routes in Jefferson County. They will be salting for now, and perhaps plowing in coming days.
The work will prioritize JCPS bus routes. Snow teams have been working round the clock since the initial blanketing of snow across the region. The Mayor noted those workers needed rest before this next phase of work could begin.
