 A Message From Councilor Ruhe
Hello, good constituents of District 21,
We hope you are staying safe and warm during this exceptionally cold winter storm.
The Metro Solid Waste Collection division along with four other Metro agencies, led by Metro Public Works, have been working diligently to clear 110 major routes in our city, but unfortunately, they were unable to reach all neighborhoods for trash collection. We appreciate your understanding during these unusual circumstances.
Solid Waste Collection Update:
- This Week: Garbage will be collected as scheduled for the remainder of the week.
- Next Week: Garbage and recycling will be collected for everyone next week for all days. However, there will be no yard waste collection next week.
- Large Item Appointments: Those with scheduled large item pickups will receive an email or phone call regarding the rescheduling of their appointments.
- Reopened Facilities: The Waste Reduction Center, Haz Bin, and staffed recycling drop-off locations have reopened today.
