Happy Holidays to all!

Merry Christmas greeting

We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas with friends, family, and loved ones.

“May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home.

May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam.

May peace and plenty bless your world, with joy that long endures.

May all life’s passing seasons, bring the best to you and yours!”

                                                - Irish Blessing

City Hall will be closed December 24 and 25 for Christmas Eve and Day, as well as January 1 for New Year's Day.

Holiday Delays

There will be no residential waste collection in the Urban Services District on Wednesday, December 25 or Wednesday, January 1. All services will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. Use the Recycle Coach app to stay informed about holiday changes!

Residents normally serviced by private waste haulers should check with those companies for holiday collection schedules.

Holiday Closings

The three staffed recycling locations, Waste Reduction Center, and Haz Bin, will be closed on December 24, December 25, and January 1.

Cardinals to play for national volleyball championship Sunday at KFC Yum! Center

Congratulations to the UofL women's volleyball team, who advanced to the national championship by defeating #1 Pitt Thursday night. The Cards' captain, Anna DeBeer, suffered an injury and did not return to play, but the team held together to earn the program’s second trip to the NCAA Championship game in three years.

They will play Penn State in the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship Sunday, December 22 at 3 p.m. at the KFC Yum! Center. The game will be shown live Sunday on ABC.
